What we collect and why
When you contact us
If you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message, plus anything else you choose to tell us. We use it to reply to you and to discuss possible work together. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We keep enquiries for 24 months after our last contact with you, unless they lead to a project, in which case we keep the records we need for that project and for our legal and accounting obligations.
When you visit the website
Our web host, IONOS, records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in server logs. This is used to keep the site secure and working. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads.
Cookies and analytics
This site only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, so we do not ask for cookie consent.
Embedded content
Some project pages include embedded videos. These services may set their own cookies and collect data about you when you play them, under their own privacy policies.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and our business, such as our web host and email provider (IONOS), and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on safeguards such as the UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to be informed about how we use your data and to access a copy of it. You can also ask us to correct it, erase it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it, and in some cases to move it to another provider. To use any of these rights, email us at the address above. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
